Make Small Commitments. Get Big Changes. (nice!)

My Friend Aaron Darko shared this with me:

Make Small Commitments. Get Big Changes - By Michael Dalton Johnson
Real and permanent change doesn’t happen by simply resolving to do something. That’s not enough. True change is a slower process. It takes time and self-reflection.

This simple, yet profoundly powerful, advice can gently help you change your life and accelerate your personal growth.

Taking Care of You:
Drink plenty of water.

Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper.

Eat more fruits and vegetables and eat less that is manufactured in processing plants.

Avoid eating food that is handed to you through a window.

Live the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.

Play more games.

Read more books than you did in last year.

Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.

Sleep for 7 hours.

Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

Your Outlook:
Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

Don’t have negative thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

Don’t overdo. Keep your limits.

Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.

Dream more while you are awake.

Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind others of their past mistakes.

Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.

No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

Learn a new word every day.

Smile and laugh more.

You don’t have to win every argument.

Your Relationships:
Call your family often.

Each day give something good to others.

Forgive everyone for everything.

Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.

Try to make at least three people smile each day.

What other people think of you is none of your business.

Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

Your Life:
The worst promise you can break is one made to yourself.

Do the right thing!

Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.

You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.

However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

The best is yet to come.

When you awake alive in the morning, thank God for it.

Your Innermost Self is always happy. Follow it.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

Keep these rules handy and review them often. Follow them and small, almost imperceptible, changes will accumulate into something big. Your life will change.

2011! Hooray!

So after a long holiday hiatus from blogging - I'm back! And guess what?  Ready to announce the launch of my new ad-Venture by bringing Reality Manifest to life!!! I'm so thrilled. Here I hope to share my knowledge of health, nutrition, herbs, self-awareness, love, laughter and life in my attempt to make a difference in people's lives. My goal is to reach as many people as I possibly can take control of their health and realize that the body is truly a wondrous and unique temple. Plus, it's the only one we get, so we better begin taking excellent care of it now. Whether you are experiencing illness, need a boost in health, or would simply like to know ways in which you can be extra good to yourself (in every way) this is the place for you!  Come explore what I am offering, join me in one event (local or virtual), and allow me to guide you in your transformational process.

My core belief is that the body is often the part of the mind-body-trilogy that gets the most abuse. Most of it is unintentional, because we are not given a manual on how to operate it and are often misinformed of the proper ways toward nutrition and health. So we eat what we are told to eat (processed, fatty, unnatural, unhealthy) without much questioning. Then we become sickly, to the point of needing medication just to get through the day. The dollars spent each year on prescription medication is in the BILLIONS. Outrageous if you ask me.

But there is light, I assure you :) and it comes in the way of natural foods. You are what you eat? INDEED. I also believe that food has consciousness, so eating living foods (fruits and veggies), makes you lively. But that's just the tip of the iceberg! Visit Reality Manifest to find out more about what you can do now to begin the shift to better, more vibrant health. Here's to your well being!

Erika

Keeping Faith

Ok, it's really easy to feel the light when we are in high spirits. When life sings to our ears and joy overwhelms us. But what happens when we feel 'less than worthy'? What happens when we begin to feel as if the walls are caving in and maintaining balance feels harder than usual, but even more essential?

This, my friends, is the crossroad. This is where we can either decide to succumb to the negativity trying to take hold, or we can soar above it, recognizing it as another ego-based game.  How can that be real when Only LOVE is Real? How can that self-defeating thought be anything other than sabotage (perhaps because you are in the brink of a breakthrough!)?

Know that it's perfectly fine to feel this way from time to time. We are only humans.

Honor your feelings, and allow the process to go through you.

Start to heal, balance, and center. Take the time to reset and refresh your state of being. Rest and restore. Don't force yourself to go out of your way just yet.

Feel your thoughts, think your feelings. Reach for that support - a friend, a book, audio resource, solitude, or whatever helps you find that little thing that will get you through the day. Remember, one day at a time. Small steps will lead you to Great Victory. This too is transient, and that light at the end of the tunnel is closer than you think.

The secret is not to dwell on this space for too long, lest risk becoming stuck in non-reality. Remember that you are constantly manifesting.

The inspiration will return, better than before. Then, put the oxygen mask on others, and spread your wings and fly!

You'll be back to your bouncy-self in no time, spreading joy, comfort, and inspiration (inspirit *wink*) to those around you.

Thanks for taking the time for my words (rants?) lol

Wishing for you a Blessed Universe!

the enlightenment revolution & manifestation

it feels as if i'm constantly manifesting. like every thought or meaningful lesson finds an outlet of expression. like every little thing is coming up to the surface. but not by me, but by people who are bringing these things to life in ways i could not imagine, but still retaining the message.

in the midst of the enlightenment revolution, the dollars have begun shifting as well. companies are either making the change or drowning in dissolution. the new is happening. the new is taking over. and love and care begin their rightful reign. oh, what a great time to be alive! selling wellbeing and being the best me that i can be. hopefully, i can inspire others to be happy and free. what i deserve is making its way to me, effortlessly and abundantly.

my business ideas are definitely on their way to materializing. i cannot wait to see what else is in store! i cannot wait to see what the world will look like when all that matters is what is. the light. the love. the life. blessed.

My Current Lessons

Below is a list of the things that keep surfacing in life. This is what I've gotten to know of My Highest Self. How I got to know It is another story. But I feel it necessary to start documenting my experiences. Maybe they will help someone. Maybe they'll just be references for me later on. I'll elaborate on each of these in future posts.

In summary, this is what I'm learning:

1. that everyone has an awakening moment
2. that you can honor your Source in endless ways - even if you are a janitor, take pride in what you do
3. that the connection deepens as time goes on
4. that speaking about my experience could help someone - words carry a great deal of emotion
5. that joy is never ending and that i can tap into it most of the time. my goal, however, is to remain connected at all times with unshakable trust
6. that my social network is becoming smaller, but high in quality
7. that i have no regrets or grudges. life has been, and will always be, perfectly coordinated for my optimal growth. no mistakes.
8. everyone is a reflection of yourself. even the people you don't like represent an aspect of you, given that, there is no separation. we are all interconnected. love them anyways, but use discernment
9. the universal laws apply. http://www.iloveulove.com/psychology/univlaws.htm
10. love begets love and every man has his faults
11. trust. trust. trust. even if seems crazy or irrational. if it's your reality, it's real. trust your emotions and trust your experiences.
12. Only Love is Real. This is my mantra. Thinking and/or saying this rids me of my negative thinking and negative feelings. It reminds me of The Truth. It's my reset button. Like the Matrix "There is no spoon"...

Keep shining your Lights! The world already looks like healing is taking place. It's your work that is creating these changes. Thank You!

Wishing you Love, Light, Health and Joy.
Bless.
