Cleaner Beauty & The Story of Cosmetics

As a woman who likes the whole grooming and being 'girly' thing, it's really challenging to find products that are clean.

I want to look good as much as the next person, but not by compromising my health. I have given up a lot of my favorite products because now I know they are full of toxic chemicals. Yep. Hiding behind that synthetic fragrance and artificial color were toxins I can't begin to mention.

As I became savvier about labels and ingredients, both good & bad, I tossed many products that were unknowingly not up to my standards.

While I still have a couple of products that are not so clean, I'm well on my way to cosmetics recovery. Now, I'm opting for the ones that are as close to nature and as basic as possible. If I cant easily read it, much less pronounce it, it's not going on my skin. That's the easiest way to start.
